Madonna has released Confessions II – The Film, a short-form visual project tied to her upcoming album Confessions II, giving fans an extended preview of the record ahead of its July 3 release. The film debuted at the Tribeca Festival in New York before becoming available globally on YouTube, continuing the rollout for what serves as a follow-up to her 2005 dance album Confessions on a Dance Floor.

Directed by the creative duo TORSO, the film runs just over 10 minutes and incorporates the first six songs from the new album, including “I Feel So Free,” “Good for the Soul,” “One Step Away,” “Bring Your Love” with Sabrina Carpenter, “Danceteria,” and “Read My Lips.” Rather than presenting separate music videos, the project unfolds as a continuous narrative that blends music, choreography and cinematic imagery.

The production features a lengthy list of guest appearances, including Sabrina Carpenter, Benedict Cumberbatch, Julia Garner, Kate Moss, Gwendoline Christie, Debi Mazar, Richard E. Grant, Odessa A’Zion and Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Leon. One sequence pairs Madonna and Carpenter on “Bring Your Love,” while another places several celebrity guests inside a nightclub bathroom setting for “Danceteria.” Garner’s appearance also references the long-discussed Madonna biopic in which she had been cast to portray the singer.

Released more than four decades into her career, Confessions II – The Film serves as both a promotional companion to the forthcoming album and a statement on Madonna’s continued embrace of large-scale visual storytelling. The project arrives as her first studio album campaign in several years and reinforces the connection between the new record and the dance-pop sound that made Confessions on a Dance Floor a global success.
