BTS will expand its global fan experience to New York later this month with “BTS THE CITY ARIRANG – NEW YORK,” an immersive, citywide event celebrating the group’s latest album, ARIRANG, and its ongoing world tour.
Running from July 24 through Aug. 3, the project will turn multiple locations across the city into interactive destinations, giving fans opportunities to explore themed exhibitions, exclusive merchandise, cultural programming and digital activities tied to the band’s return.The centerpiece of the initiative will be Grand Central Terminal, where the landmark’s Main Concourse will be transformed with an “ARIRANG” theme from July 30 through Aug. 3. Organizers will also launch a citywide stamp rally linking major venues, encouraging visitors to travel throughout New York while unlocking exclusive content and rewards. Additional attractions include immersive installations at Arte Museum New York, fan-focused experiences at the Korean Cultural Center New York’s “ARMY ‘MADANG,’” pop-up retail offerings and other branded activations designed to extend the concert experience beyond the stage.
The festivities coincide with BTS’ “ARIRANG” world tour stop at MetLife Stadium in nearby East Rutherford, New Jersey, where the group is scheduled to perform on Aug. 1 and 2. The New York takeover follows BTS’ full-group comeback earlier this year after the members completed mandatory military service, with ARIRANG marking the band’s first full-length group release in several years and fueling a worldwide tour that has drawn fans from across the globe.
The New York edition marks the latest stop in HYBE’s ongoing “THE CITY” series, which has previously incorporated major landmarks including Seoul’s Sungnyemun, Las Vegas’ Sphere and London’s London Eye into large-scale fan festivals surrounding BTS events.
