Olivia Rodrigo has announced the Daisy Chain Fields Festival, a new one-day music festival featuring an all-women and female-fronted lineup across musical genres that includes Stevie Nicks, Chappell Roan, KATSEYE, Doechii, Mitski, Garbage, Bikini Kill and The Breeders. The event is scheduled for Aug. 29 at Great Park in Irvine, California, and marks the singer’s latest effort to combine music with philanthropy. Produced by C3 Presents and Live Nation, the festival also will feature special guests Karen O and Sarah McLachlan.
Rodrigo said the event has been a longtime ambition inspired in part by the spirit of Lilith Fair. In announcing the festival, she wrote, “I firmly believe that joy, community, and music can be the drivers of meaningful change.” According to organizers, every performer has agreed to forgo profits, with 100% of net proceeds earmarked for organizations supporting women and girls. Beneficiaries include Planned Parenthood, Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, the Center for Reproductive Rights and the Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health.
Beyond the music, Daisy Chain Fields will feature nonprofit activations, educational resources, local vendors, community art experiences and interactive installations aimed at encouraging engagement around issues affecting women and girls. Organizers said the festival is intended to foster connection while highlighting causes involving reproductive rights, maternal health, economic empowerment and gender equity.
