Swedish electronic music producer Alesso and pop-rock band OneRepublic have dropped their latest single titled “In Your Eyes,” serving as their first new collaborative effort in more than a decade and marking the fourth time the artists have combined forces in total.
“In Your Eyes” follows the success of previous collaborations including “Calling (Lose My Mind),” “If I Lose Myself,” and “Scars.” Their renewed partnership comes 13 years after the release of “If I Lose Myself,” a track that became one of the most recognizable crossover hits of the era and accumulated hundreds of millions of streams worldwide.
Alesso said the opportunity to work again with OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder felt natural and described the new song as a return to the sound that originally connected the pair. Ahead of the release, both artists acknowledged the enduring popularity of their earlier collaborations and the fan demand that helped inspire another project together.
The release arrives during a busy period for Alesso, who is currently on a U.S. headlining tour following recent appearances at major events and festivals. For OneRepublic, the collaboration adds to a run of new music as the band continues work surrounding its next album cycle.
