Post Malone’s debut mixtape ‘August 26th‘ officially arrived on streaming services for the first time, giving fans access to the 2016 project a decade after its original release. The 10-track mixtape was released in a newly remastered edition marking its 10th anniversary, and is also receiving its first official vinyl release.
Malone announced earlier this month that the long-unavailable project would finally reach major streaming platforms on its 10th anniversary. In his announcement, he wrote, “It’s finally here ladies and gentlemen. August 26: The Mixtape will be available on August 26, 2026 in celebration of its ten year anniversary.”
Originally released in May 2016 after Malone’s breakout hit “White Iverson,” August 26th offered an early glimpse of the eclectic sound that would eventually make Posty a major force across hip-hop, pop, rock and country music. The project includes appearances from 2 Chainz, Jeremih, Lil Yachty, Jaden Smith, Larry June, FKi 1st and Teo, with songs including “Money Made Me Do It,” “Hollywood Dreams / Come Down,” “Lonely” and “Oh God.”
The mixtape’s title also has a connection to Malone’s debut studio album, Stoney – Aug. 26 was initially intended as the release date for that album, but Stoney was postponed and ultimately arrived in December 2016. That delay left August 26th as an important snapshot of the period between Malone’s breakthrough and his emergence as a mainstream star.
For years, August 26th remained largely outside the major streaming ecosystem, despite its significance to Malone’s early career. The anniversary release now makes the remastered mixtape officially accessible alongside the rest of his catalog, while the vinyl edition gives longtime fans a physical version of one of the earliest projects in his career.
