The Jonas Brothers will headline the halftime show at the NFL’s first regular-season game in Australia, adding a major pop-music performance to the league’s historic Melbourne debut. Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas will perform when the San Francisco 49ers face the Los Angeles Rams at Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sept. 11. The game will stream live on Netflix at 10:35 a.m. AEST, or 8:35 p.m. ET on Sept. 10 in the United States.
The performance is part of a larger NFL effort to expand its international presence. It will be the first of seven halftime shows presented by American Express during the league’s 2026 International Games, which span seven countries and four continents. The NFL has said the remaining performers will be announced later.
The Jonas Brothers said in a statement: “We couldn’t be more excited to perform at halftime during the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Australia. Playing at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of such passionate Australian fans is an incredible honor. We can’t wait to be part of this historic moment and celebrate with everyone in the stadium and watching around the world.”
The Melbourne event will extend beyond the game itself. The NFL Kickoff Festival is scheduled for Sept. 10-12 at Melbourne Park and will include Australian performers including Sneaky Sound System, Kita Alexander, Peking Duk, Hot Dub Time Machine, Public Figures and Grinspoon. The Jonas Brothers’ halftime performance also will air on Seven Network in Australia, giving fans outside the stadium an opportunity to watch the show live.
The appearance continues the Jonas Brothers’ long relationship with major sporting events. The band previously performed during the NFL’s Thanksgiving Day halftime festivities in 2008 and has since appeared at other high-profile sports events. Their Melbourne performance will now become part of a landmark moment as the NFL stages its first regular-season contest in Australia.
