Paramount+ with Showtime has released the teaser trailer for Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection, set to premiere October 30th. The 40-second teaser features Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan, who is shown getting an eye exam and sharpening weapons along with the catchphrase: “He’s back and sharper than ever.”
According to the official synopsis, “The second season of Dexter: Resurrection finds Dexter Morgan (Hall) caught between two killers — one with decades of notoriety and a lifetime of kills behind him, and the other a fresh young face terrorizing New York in ways no one has ever seen. Meanwhile, Dexter battles a new and unexpected enemy: a mid-life crisis. Harrison (Jack Alcott) continues his own pursuit of justice as father and son face their darkest chapter yet.”
The streamer previously released the first official images from Season 2, which offered an early glimpse at the next chapter for Dexter. The photos showcased Hall returning as the infamous serial killer in New York City while teasing the return of several familiar characters, fresh additions to the cast and new storylines expected to drive the upcoming season. The images also confirmed the return of Desmond Harrington as Joey Quinn, marking the former Miami Metro detective’s first appearance in the sequel series. They also feature Jack Alcott’s Harrison Morgan, whose journey continues after the dramatic events of Season 1, along with James Remar reprising his role as Harry Morgan. New cast members include Bokeem Woodbine as a police leader, while Dan Stevens, Gabriel Luna, Nona Parker Johnson and Brian Cox join the ensemble. Uma Thurman’s Charley Brown also returns, with the photos hinting at an unexpected bond developing between her and Dexter. Krysten Ritter is likewise back as Mia “Lady Vengeance” Lapierre following her Season 1 debut.
