BLACKPINK’s Jisoo has begun the next phase of her solo career with “Click,” an English-language dance-pop single which dropped alongside a cinematic music video. The song is the first preview of Jisoo’s forthcoming debut full-length solo album, and follows her 2025 mini album, “Amortage.”
Released through Warner Records, “Click” centers on the unexpected attraction between two people who seemingly should not be drawn to one another but find an immediate connection. The accompanying video, directed by Joseph Kahn, places Jisoo in a surreal, abandoned amusement park. She portrays a lonely cyborg who maintains the deserted attraction until she discovers a damaged robotic teddy bear and restores it. Their relationship ultimately brings the forgotten park back to life, with the bear serving as a symbolic connection to Jisoo’s international fan base.
“Click” also arrives nearly a year after Jisoo’s collaboration with Zayn on “Eyes Closed,” which became her second solo song to reach the top 10 of the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. Her solo career began in 2023 with the single “Flower,” followed by the “Amortage” project, which topped South Korea’s albums chart and continued her expansion beyond BLACKPINK.
The release also comes as BLACKPINK’s members pursue solo projects following the group’s 10th debut anniversary. Lisa jut released “SaWaDiKa” off her upcoming EP, while Jennie dropped her “Fallen Angel” EP as well BLACKPINK, which also includes Rosé, released its “Deadline” EP earlier this year after completing its “Deadline World Tour.”
