The Weeknd is pushing back the start of his 2022 world tour to next summer and moving the events from arenas to stadiums. In a statement, the Weeknd said, “Due to constraints of arenas and the demand for more shows I want to do something bigger and special for you which requires stadiums. Ticket holders will be refunded automatically, and they’ll also get priority to buy tickets for the new shows when they’re announced. Dates will be announced soon.”

Earlier this month, The Weeknd confirmed that his new album is nearly “complete” and is only missing one key component that will make it totally finished, sharing in an interview: “Only thing missing is a couple characters that are key to the narrative. Some people that are near and dear to me, some people that inspired my life as a child, and some that inspire me now. More to come in the following months.”

In August, the singer released his latest single “Take My Breath,” which was co-written and co-produced by Max Martin.
