Following the simultaneous arrival of his massive three-album collection, Drake has officially eclipsed longstanding tracking milestones previously established by legendary icons of pop and country music.
With his fresh track “Janice STFU” launching straight to the summit of the Billboard Hot 100, Drake has secured his 14th career number-one single. This achievement breaks his previous tie with Michael Jackson, officially giving Drake the most number-one hits by a solo male artist in the history of the singles chart.
Drake celebrated the milestone with an Instagram post, reading: “Neck broke from carrying the chain Back broke from carrying the game Records broken carry on my name Carry on carry on,” featuring an illustrated photo of Michael Jackson with ‘Iceman’ blue braids in front of a snowy landscape.
Additionally, this historic 14th chart-topper aligns him with contemporary giants Rihanna and Taylor Swift for the third-most leading singles overall. Currently, only Mariah Carey and The Beatles hold a higher lifetime tally.
The Toronto rapper completely dominated the competitive musical landscape by landing an astonishing 42 tracks simultaneously onto the Hot 100 within a single tracking frame. This massive wave of entries effectively breaks the previous single-week record of 37 songs, which was established by country singer Morgan Wallen. His unprecedented singles dominance was fueled by a coordinated rollout strategy. On the Billboard 200 albums chart, Drake made history by becoming the very first performer to capture the entire top three positions at the exact same time. His trio of new studio releases—Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honou—clinched the first, second, and third ranks respectively.
