Oreo is joining forces with K-pop sensations BTS to introduce a uniquely flavored, limited-edition cookie.

Marking the group’s inaugural global snack crossover, this unique item features Oreo’s first-ever purple cookie shells—a direct nod to the band’s signature color and their dedicated fanbase. The center is packed with a sweet creme crafted to mimic hotteok, a popular brown-sugar-filled pancake commonly sold in South Korean street markets. The choice of flavor hits close to home for the musicians, who fondly recall eating the traditional dessert throughout their upbringing.

To celebrate their 13th anniversary, the band helped customize the treats with 13 distinct cookie engravings. These custom designs feature the names of all seven members, a BTS light stick, and a three-piece cookie message dedicated to their fans. The packaging itself mirrors the lively aesthetic of South Korea’s street markets.

Reflecting on the partnership, BTS stated: “For Oreo to be the first snacking brand we’ve collaborated with globally is a huge honor. We ate them as kids, we eat them in the studio, and now Oreo is helping us share a taste of home with the world.”

Alongside the product drop, the brand is initiating a digital fan experience where buyers can scan an on-pack QR code to write a message to the group, aiming to construct the largest collective digital love letter in the world.

The special edition product will launch across more than 80 countries. Online presales kick off on June 1st, followed by a wide retail rollout beginning June 8th while supplies last.
