Meghan Trainor is marking the arrival of her latest studio album, Toy With Me, with the vibrant new music video for her upbeat track “Shimmer.” Released on April 24, Toy With Me marks Trainor’s seventh studio effort and leans into a bold, dance-pop sound.
Trainor posted on Instagram: “SHIMMER MUSIC VIDEO OUT NOW WITH MY ALBUM TOY WITH ME!!! I seriously can’t wait for you to watch and experience it all THANK YOUUU to everyone who made this video possible!! huge shoutout to @charmladonna for bringing this vision to life #shimmer #toywithme”
Filmed in Simi Valley, California, the video was directed by her longtime creative partner and choreographer Charm La’Donna, and showcases Trainor fully embracing a high-energy, dance-driven style. Expressing her excitement about the project, Trainor shared, “I’m so excited to finally be able to share ‘Toy With Me’ with the world. I really poured my heart into this music and I’m unbelievably proud of the end result. These songs have already helped me so much, and I hope they can do the same for you. Enjoy!!!”
“Shimmer” is one of several standout tracks on the album, which also includes previously released singles “Get In Girl” and “Still Don’t Care,” both of which arrived with their own visuals.
