Ava Max has dropped the single “Out of Your Mind,” her latest track of the year.

Ava shares of the song: “‘Out Of Your Mind’ is my personal f u to people who want me to change and fit in a box to make someone comfortable and forget about my own dreams entirely. Unfortunately, to everyone wondering, you have to be crazy in order to achieve something extraordinary. The theme reminds me of ‘Sweet But Psycho.’ I feel how I felt right before that song blew up. The need for change, and I felt like I didn’t want to just give up because of a few failures. I’m back at that place in my life where I not only want to prove people wrong, I am embodying who I truly am again. And that is a lil bit psycho… and outta my mind.”

Ava kicked off her fresh chapter with the single, “KiLL iT QUEEN,” signaling a creative reset for the pop star and marking her first release since 2025’s Don’t Click Play, which featured “Lovin’ Myself” and “Lost Your Faith.”

A press statement called the single “only the beginning,” promising, “2026 is going to be loud.” Ava shares: “I’m telling my story my way. I’m doing things differently and it feels good. I feel empowered, reinvigorated, and I think you can hear it in this single. ‘Kill It Queen’ is for anyone who wants to feel unstoppable.” She echoed that excitement on Instagram, writing, “Can’t wait for you to hear this new sound & for us to step into this new world together ily x.”   See the lyric video for KiLL iT QUEENHERE.

Known for massive hooks and high-energy anthems like “Kings & Queens,” “My Head & My Heart,” “The Motto” with Tiësto and “Whatever” with Kygo, Ava has already amassed more than 22 billion global streams and multiple platinum certifications. Now with a revamped team and full creative control following her split from her record label, she’s leaning further into pop while pushing herself vocally in new ways.
