Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for its upcoming theatrical release ‘How to Rob a Bank,’ a heist thriller directed by David Leitch that blends high-stakes robberies with the influence of social media.
The film, starring Nicholas Hoult, Zoë Kravitz and Pete Davidson, follows a tech-savvy group of criminals who broadcast their high-stakes bank robberies to the public. As their digital notoriety skyrockets, they inadvertently attract the attention of a seasoned investigator and a talented tech specialist. According to the studio’s description, “Despite the unlikely duo closing in, the crime ring pushes past their limits, putting everything on the line for their beliefs – and their most ambitious heist yet.” The cast also includes Anna Sawai, Rhenzy Feliz, John C. Reilly, Christian Slater and Tati Gabrielle.
How to Rob a Bank marks the latest collaboration between Amazon MGM Studios, Imagine Entertainment and Leitch’s 87North banner. Best known for directing films such as Bullet Train, Deadpool 2 and Atomic Blonde, Leitch brings a contemporary spin to the heist genre by centering the story on criminals who chase attention as aggressively as they pursue money.
