Alex Warren has shared the music video for his latest single, “Rescuer,” offering fans another preview of his upcoming sophomore album, Wildchild, due Aug. 28 via Atlantic Records. The release follows previously issued tracks “Passenger,” “Fever Dream” and “Fine Place To Die,” continuing the rollout for the 13-song project.
The emotional ballad is accompanied by a cinematic video that reinforces the song’s themes of love, healing and finding strength through another person. Warren first introduced “Rescuer” during a special TikTok LIVE event, where he also discussed the forthcoming album before officially premiering the video. In the weeks leading up to its release, the singer fueled anticipation by teasing snippets of the song during an Instagram livestream, prompting widespread speculation among fans.
Wildchild marks Warren’s second studio album following the success of You’ll Be Alright, Kid. The singer has said the new collection reflects a period of personal growth, inspired in part by the memory of his late father, who nicknamed him “Wildchild.” Warren previously described the record as a more hopeful companion to his debut, exploring grief, resilience and healing through deeply personal songwriting.
The arrival of “Rescuer” coincides with Warren’s Finding Family on the Road World Tour, which continues with dates across Asia, New Zealand and Australia before the album’s release.
