K-pop group Aespa has dropped the music video for “Switchblade,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, giving one of the standout tracks from its latest album the visual treatment.
“Switchblade” appears on aespa’s second full-length album, LEMONADE, which was released in May and includes collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign, G-Dragon and Becky G. The electronic dance track pairs the quartet’s signature futuristic sound with Ty Dolla $ign’s melodic rap style, while its lyrics compare adaptability and resilience to a switchblade that can transform to meet different situations. The collaboration was first announced ahead of the album’s release as part of aespa’s expanding roster of international partnerships.
The music video arrives as aespa continues promoting LEMONADE, its first full-length album since Armageddon. The release reinforces the group’s growing global profile, following a series of high-profile collaborations and international festival appearances. During the album’s launch, members Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning highlighted the project as an evolution of aespa’s established sound while maintaining the group’s distinctive identity.
