Marvel’s “Daredevil: Born Again” will end with its upcoming third season on Disney+, bringing Charlie Cox’s latest run as Matt Murdock to a close. Cast members were informed that Season 3 would be the series’ final installment. Production has already wrapped, and the season is expected to premiere in 2027, although Disney+ has not announced an exact date.

The decision to end “Born Again” with Season 3 comes roughly two months after filming concluded. The series’ second season premiered in March 2026 and continued the conflict between Murdock and Fisk, whose political ambitions put him at odds with Daredevil and other vigilantes.

The announcement comes as the series undergoes a behind-the-scenes change. Dario Scardapane, who took over as showrunner during the show’s major creative overhaul, has departed after Marvel did not renew his contract. His exit comes while Season 3 is in post-production, with reports indicating the work is already in its final stages. Marvel has not publicly explained the decision or identified who will oversee the remaining work.

Season 3 follows the first two seasons of “Born Again,” which premiered on Disney+ in 2025 as a continuation of the Netflix “Daredevil” series that ran from 2015 to 2018. Cox remains in the title role, with Vincent D’Onofrio returning as Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin. The upcoming season is also set to feature Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Iron Fist, expanding the connections to Marvel’s former Netflix series and “The Defenders.”
