A24 has released the full trailer for “You Can See Everything,” the upcoming documentary from Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim that offers an intimate look at former Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes before and during the aftermath of her imprisonment.
“You Can See Everything” was secretly filmed over several years and made its surprise world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival earlier this month. The nearly three-hour documentary has drawn significant attention for its unusual approach to the already extensively documented Theranos story. Filming began about 34 days before Holmes reported to federal prison in May 2023 to begin serving a sentence of more than 11 years following her conviction on fraud charges tied to Theranos. Fielder, along with Oppenheim and a film crew, was invited into Holmes’ home, where he spent time with Holmes, her partner Billy Evans and their children. What started as a portrait of Holmes’ final weeks before incarceration developed into a project filmed over several years.
The new trailer shows Fielder pressing Holmes about her actions and continued insistence that she did nothing wrong. It also features conversations with Evans, including Fielder questioning whether he ever worried that Holmes might have been manipulating him. Holmes becomes emotional during one exchange, telling Fielder, “It took me a really long time to be ok with letting someone see me cry,” before appearing to shed a tear.
‘You Can See Everything’ is scheduled to screen at the New York Film Festival on Sept. 30 before opening in theaters nationwide Oct. 16; see the trailer – HERE.
