Noah Kahan is contributing to the upcoming soundtrack for “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” with his new song “Draw You Out,” serving as the album’s lead single. “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (The Album)” will arrive Nov. 13 through MCA, with the film scheduled to open in theaters Nov. 20.
Draw You Out, written specifically for and inspired by the upcoming film, reunites Kahan with Grammy-winning producer Aaron Dessner (following their work together on Kahan’s 2026 album, “The Great Divide.”) The duo co-wrote and co-produced the song, with recording taking place at Long Pond Studio in New York and studios in Nashville.
Kahan said he had long wanted to create music for a film and drew inspiration from the story of Haymitch Abernathy and Lenore Dove, whose relationship plays a central role in Suzanne Collins’ novel on which the movie is based. The singer-songwriter previously hinted at his involvement with a film project, while fans connected earlier song teasers and lyrics to the “Hunger Games” prequel before his participation was officially confirmed.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (The Album) will feature 29 tracks from artists spanning multiple genres. Executive produced by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb, the album consists largely of previously unreleased music created specifically for “Sunrise on the Reaping.”
