U2 will headline the halftime entertainment for the NFL’s inaugural Thanksgiving Eve game, bringing the Irish rock band back to football’s biggest stage as it celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Netflix announced Tuesday that the group will perform Nov. 25 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, during the Green Bay Packers’ matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. The game is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET and will stream live on Netflix. The performance marks U2’s return to an NFL halftime show nearly 25 years after its appearance at Super Bowl XXXVI in February 2002. That show included a tribute to victims of the Sept. 11 attacks, with their names displayed behind the band as it performed.
The Thanksgiving Eve halftime show adds to Netflix’s growing lineup of holiday football broadcasts featuring major musical acts. Beyoncé headlined the streamer’s 2024 Christmas game halftime show, while Snoop Dogg led its holiday entertainment in 2025. U2’s upcoming appearance will be produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment, according to the NFL.
The Thanksgiving Eve matchup is part of Netflix’s expanding NFL coverage, which also includes Christmas Day games and a regular-season finale broadcast. The Packers-Rams contest will be available to Netflix subscribers around the world, with local broadcasts planned in the competing teams’ markets.
