Global R&B standout Khalid is joining forces with South Korean actor and singer Ahn Hyo-seop on the new track, “Something Special.”  The release is part of the Fandom album project and blends modern R&B with K-pop influences, bridging creative scenes in Los Angeles and Seoul.

The song marks a milestone for both artists—Ahn Hyo-seop’s first solo single and Khalid’s first collaboration with a Korean performer—highlighting a growing connection between global pop markets.

Ahn has gained international recognition for voicing Jin-woo, leader of the Saja Boys, in the KPop Demon Hunters, while continuing his acting career with roles in series like “Sold Out On You.” Khalid, meanwhile, rose to prominence with his debut album American Teen and remains one of the defining voices in contemporary R&B.

“Something Special” is produced by Woo ‘Rainstone’ Rhee, known for Nobody by Wonder Girls, with co-production from Grammy winner Troy ‘R8DIO’ Johnson, recognized for his work on A Seat at the Table by Solange.

The track follows earlier Fandom project releases, including “Two Car Garage” by Jon Bellion and Swae Lee, and is positioned as a global offering aimed at fans across genres and regions.
